Onside Sports Technologies Ltd ("we," "us," "our") operates the Onside platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and any profile details you provide
  • Usage data: tickets you create, events and markets you analyze, AI analysis results, staking calculations, and general activity on the Platform
  • Payment information: subscription tier and billing status. Full card/payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors (Paystack, and Stripe for international users) — we do not store your full card number on our own systems
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, and general usage logs, collected automatically for security and performance purposes
  • API keys you provide: if you connect your own third-party API keys (e.g., an AI provider key), these are stored encrypted and used solely to operate the features you've enabled

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Platform's features
  • To process subscription payments and manage your account tier
  • To improve our AI analysis and calibration tracking (using aggregated, non-identifying prediction-outcome data where possible)
  • To communicate with you about your account, billing, or material changes to our Terms or this Policy
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited data with the following categories of third-party service providers, solely as needed to operate the Platform:

  • AI providers (e.g., Anthropic): receive match/event details you submit for analysis, in order to generate predictions
  • Sports data providers (e.g., API-Football): used to retrieve fixture, league, and live score data
  • Search providers (e.g., Google Custom Search): used for research-backed analysis where applicable
  • Payment processors (Paystack, Stripe): receive billing information necessary to process your subscription payment
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: store your account and application data securely
  • Advertising (if enabled, e.g., Google AdSense): may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads; see Section 5

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies necessary for the Platform to function (e.g., keeping you logged in). If advertising is enabled on the Platform, advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve relevant ads; you can manage ad personalization through your browser or Google's Ads Settings. Where required by law (e.g., for users in the EU/UK), we will present a cookie consent notice before non-essential cookies are set.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and secure infrastructure) to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access to the personal data we hold about you; correction of inaccurate data; deletion of your data; and objection to certain processing. Nigerian users have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (2023); users in the EU/UK have rights under GDPR/UK GDPR where applicable. 8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Users

If you access the Platform from outside Nigeria, your data will be transferred to and processed in Nigeria and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure such transfers are protected consistent with applicable data protection law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active users with reasonable advance notice.
